Choosing your DJ
When choosing a proper Wedding DJ, many factors come into play. Professionalism, Experience and Ability to name a few. Equipment is another major role, which we take pride in and will focus on in full detail.
Professionalism is key, and an element that takes many forms. From first contact, to effective correspondence, to day-of etiquette. Be sure to hire a DJ that can represent him/her self in a manner that YOU as a client would be proud of, as well as one that can effectively communicate with you from day one all the way to the wedding itself. DJs must work efficiently and effectively with multiple parties to allow not only the event to be a success, but to ensure its captured properly by both guests and photographers/ videographers. Weddings are a long day filled with an important timeline that must be on point.
Experience plays a role in not only effectively meeting certain guidelines mentioned above, but more importantly, in the wedding itself. A DJ without wedding experience cannot DJ a wedding. Weddings are their own entity, and it takes experience to understand the flow, as well as events that make weddings so special. This experience not only plays a role on your day, but in the planning process itself. We have custom paperwork to make your life easy in deciding how you want your day to go, and what you choose it to include. Day-of wedding experience is important in how one handles crowd direction, controlling the dance floor, and implementing events. Timing is everything! Understanding when to make certain decisions, who to contact for said decisions, and proper execution.
Your DJs Ability to DJ/ MC is an obvious necessity. Time in this game is what is needed to shine in the field. Personally, our entire team has been DJing 2009 or longer. This grants us the experience to master our equipment, have a broad understanding of music, and know how and when to effectively change and blend different styles of music. Most of us started out as MCs and Karaoke hosts. Our constant experience with a microphone and music yields an ideal wedding DJ. We all still run weekly gigs at bars and nightclubs, consistently allowing us to practice and improve what it is we do. From reading people and crowds, to updating music libraries, to furthering our skills as DJs and MCs. Contact us today, and ask questions!
Justin is a one stop shop when it comes to your music and lighting. For me I didn’t want 20 different vendors so if a vendor was able to do multiple things, I was all ears. Justin provided such a great ambiance with lighting (exactly the way I wanted it). He was able to produce the personalized monogram on our dance floor and he was able to get the night moving smoothly from the first dance, to the toasts, to getting the party started. Justin sets the bar when it comes to a well rounded wedding DJ. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Justin… you made our wedding day!!
